(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) April 16, 2009 - Inpop Records artist Shane & Shane will headline the “Turn the Music Down” tour, kicking off April 16 in Springfield, Mo. and wrapping up May 9 in Cave Creek, Ariz. Author/speaker David Nassar (Glory Revealed, A Call to Die) and Essential Records artist Matt Maher join Shane & Shane for a night of worship and teaching to encourage believers to seek and save the lost.

“We are excited about this tour and look forward to people coming out to experience more than songs,” says Shane Everett. “Matt Maher is an amazing worship leader and David Nasser is an amazing communicator of God’s Word. We, Shane & Shane, will wrap up the night with a selection of music focusing on what the Lord spoke through David and Matt. But in the end all our efforts are pointed in a single direction--that we would all leave this evening singing praises to Christ. It is to this end we labor.”

“The ‘Turn the Music Down’ tour will be a night filled with intense worship and awareness and compassion for a world that needs a savior,” says Nassar. “On this special night, we will turn up the music to worship our king but not at the cost of tuning out the need that’s all around us.”

Ticket information and an up-to-date tour schedule is available at www.shaneandshane.com.

Shane Everett and Shane Barnard formed the duo, Shane & Shane, after meeting at Central Baptist Church in College Station, Texas in the late 90’s. In December 2001, Shane & Shane signed with Inpop Records, home to such notable acts as newsboys, Superchick, Mat Kearney and others. Since then, the acoustic-guitar wielding pair has become a college-circuit favorite with six label releases to its credit, and countless hours logged on the road, including tours alongside Bethany Dillon, David Crowder Band and Robbie Seay Band, among others. In total, the band’s career sales exceed 420,00 units. The pair is working on its seventh studio album to release this fall. As an award-winning songwriter, Matt Maher gained notice as the writer of the internationally renowned “Your Grace Is Enough.” Maher has had songs recorded by such artists as Chris Tomlin, Bethany Dillon, Phillips, Craig & Dean, Brenton Brown and others. In addition, his songs can be found in the top 15 ranked songs on the CCLI chart. Maher’s current project Empty & Beautiful (Essential Records) enhanced his work as a touring artist, placing him in front of audiences worldwide and sharing stages with Tomlin, Leeland, MercyMe, Michael W. Smith and Jeremy Camp. Maher also serves alongside ministries including Life Teen, Adore Ministries and Catholic Relief Services while still playing an active role with Oregon Catholic Press’ spiritandsong.com. He serves as a regular host for Worship Together’s “Newsong Café,” has performed live on “FOX & Friends,” has written for Billboard Magazine and is an active, bylined contributor to OnFaith.com.
